The Business Critical Services organization provides proactive services and support to SYMANTEC Business Critical customers. The level of service this organization delivers is designed for multinational enterprises that require uninterrupted availability to data and applications on a 24x7x365 basis. Any disturbance in productivity experienced by a Business Critical customer results in immediate and measurable consequences. The Business Critical Services infrastructure allows these enterprises to experience the full availability of data and systems that their business practices demand.

We are currently looking for Business Critical Engineers to work from our MUMBAI Location. The job description is as follows;

ROLE
-Ensure customer satisfaction by providing timely resolution of technical issues specifically via onsite attendance, telephone or remote access.
-Willing to work as part of a professional support team to provide first rate technical expertise and technical solutions to customer’s issues/problems.
-Create and maintain effective internal and external relationships to ensure success and deliver against key business performance objectives.
-Able to interact effectively and confidently at all levels with strong customer communications skills, written, oral, face-to-face.
-Provide customer feedback on their technical issues as they are progressed.
-Drive/assist in customer escalations.
-Self-motivated and results driven with the highest work ethic.
-Presence and impact with the ability to influence.
-Able to maintain professionalism while under pressure.
-Strongly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to think laterally to provide a solution.
-Keen to learn and keep pace within a rapidly changing environment with the desire to continue learning the latest technologies.
-Flexibility to travel and spend time away from home at short notice to various customer sites internationally

Essential Requirements;
- 3+ years in a corporate support environment with previous customer facing experience.
- In-depth knowledge of Symantec Enterprise Protection (SEP) and Antivirus product family (Symantec Antivirus, Client Security, Norton Enterprise Antivirus and Client Firewall).
- Specific or related experienced in technical support of Windows 2000/XP/2003, UNIX and Linux.
- Strong expertise in networking, TCP/IP and name resolution.
- Strong expertise in malware propagation and mitigation methodologies.
- Ability to explain complex security issues to all levels of a customer’s management team.
- Strong background in virus removal and enterprise security concepts.
- Basic database skills in MS SQL and Exchange.
- Industry recognised accreditation.
- Degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related area.
