Job Title: Sr Support Engineer
Job Description: At least 5 to 7 years experience in the Infrastructure Support filed
Primary Skill Set: Helpdesk Operations, LAN/WAN, Data center, Server Management (windows) , IT Project Management
Secondary Skills: Knowledge of Infrastructure best practices, familiar with IT Audit process
Education Requirements: BE, BS Degree or Diploma
Role summary: This position is for Monsanto Infrastructure & Operations team. Strong knowledge of Service Desk management process, Asset management, Datacenter, Network and Server Management and IT Project Management
Additional technical and soft skills are required and are specified in the Required Skills section below.
Required Skills:
• Minimum 4 years experience in the area of Service Desk /Server/Network and Datacenter Operations.
• Strong in service desk process , setting of helpdesk for enterprise
• Experience with LAN/WAN topologies and routing protocols
• Hands-on experience of configuring and troubleshooting of Cisco Routers and Switches.
• Knowledge on MPLS, Routing Protocol and VLAN Management.
• Strong Knowledge on Windows 2003
• Basic Knowledge of VoIP
• Good understanding on Server Security ( hardening)
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Create change requests for configuration changes on routers, switches and firewalls etc.
• Network Data Center planning/design/ implement or support will be an added advantage.
• Certification like CCNA/MCSE /ITIL / PMP will be the added advantage
• Provide remote support as and when needed
• Must possess the ability to comprehend and learn new advanced technologies under time constrained conditions.
• Good understanding of Project management process for delivery the IT Infrastructure projects
Additional desired skills:
• Good understanding of Incident, Problem and Change Management.
• Working knowledge on service desk tools will be added advantage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability document processes and procedures.
• Project management experience/skills are highly regarded
• Work with other IT team members and contribute toward customer satisfaction
• Customer centric and Proactive approach
• Ability to manage outsources support engineers team.
