Senior Network Engineer (Contract 12 months)

THE POSITION:

·  Requires a very strong technical professional specializing in Routing and Switching, performance tuning, packet decodes and analysis; Extensive IPV6 knowledge.

·  This will be part of the Web Hosting Operations Tier III group responsible for managing complex problem escalations, performance tuning and capacity planning.

·  Involves complex problem engagements, interfacing with customers, vendors and developers, performance tuning, and development of ad-hoc tools to aid in identifying trends and isolating problems during times of critical need.

SKILLSETS:

·  Expert level knowledge of Cisco Routers/switches, Brocade switches.

·  Advanced experience in troubleshooting layer 2 and 3 routing and switching issues - BGP, iBGP, OSPF, VRRP, IPV6

·  Protocol decoding and analysis using a variety of software tools .

·  Experienced as Technical leader during high visibility outages and maintenance activity; Having Technical Consultative Skills and the ability to manage projects.

·  Knowledge of protocol analysis tools used to troubleshoot layer 2 & 3 issues Technical Support for critical situations

·  Managing major/complex IPv6 outages (include project execution/ engineering reviews)

·  Setup/lead lead technical discussion with peers and clients

·  Performing chronic problem analysis and corrective planning

REQUIREMENTS:

·  Minimum of 5 to 8 years experience as a multiple areas of technology is required.

·  Must have broad skill set across networking and security where the focus is IPv6.

·  Must have either CCNP or CCIE or Background as a technology consultant (Experienced solutions architect or integrator).

·  Flexible to work in production operations environment and requires 24 x 7 service coverage. Candidate must be willing to work on SHIFT Arrangement if needed

·  Excellent communication skill (liase with senior management) 

Certification Required:

·  CCNP OR CCIP
Please note above certifications are must required.
Any exposure in Packet shaper if any along with Cisco routing/switching will be highly preferred.

OTHER INFORMATIONS:
Candidate is required to work either Permanent Night shift or rotating Day/Night shifts.
Shift Pattern

·  12-Hours Rotating

·  Day : 0800-2000

·  Night : 2000-0800

·  8-day cycle (2 days, 2 off, 2 nights, 2 off)
General Day

·  Mon to Fri - (0830 to 1730)
Perm Night

·  Mon to Fri - (2100 to 0600)
