Client is looking for someone who has about 8+ years of hands-on-experience in designing, developing and implementing SCM and performing software quality management. JOB DESCRIPTION

As part of the team of Global Development Team, you will be handling Source Code Mgmt and Software Quality Engineering using J2EE technologies. You will be working closely with Technical Leads & Managing team to develop and implement SCM and perform software quality management.

POSITION PURPOSE



1. Work closely with Tech Leads to understand requirements related to Source Code Management and perform Software quality checks.

2. Responsible for managing the development, and QA environments and govern the transition of software from the source systems through the build process and to create active deployments or update on the QA/Test servers

3. Develop scripts for build, source code management using collaboration tools

4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills that yield effective interaction with team members and contribute to the company culture. Escalate issues and keep team updated on status.

5. With strong experience in implementing continuous build and test automation in a large scale environment

6. Develop strategies and process to deploy software tools, upgrades and patches

7. Improve the efficiency of the current build process by either automating systems or suggesting alternate ways to make them better

8. Show strong technical / problem solving skills and ability to work efficiently as a team player or as a self-supervised / managed person

9. Suggest and document best SCM practices, and able to deliver in environment with aggressive/tighter deadlines

10. Knowledge of Enterprise applications deployment lifecycles especially Java/J2EE based

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE



1. Bachelor’s degree or above, with majors in Computers

2. About 8+ years of hands-on-experience in Designing, Implementation, & Testing

3. Unix/Linux, Shell scripting, Perl Scripting (desired), Ruby skills

4. Experience in Maven, and Ant. Reasonable experience with Maven related plugins

5. Experience in automating builds & deployments (perferably WebLogic Server, WebLogic Portal) using Maven and Ant

6. Some Experience in WebLogic Server and Portal Administration.

7. Good system administration skills like installation, upgrades and applying patches to applications like WLS, WLP, IDM suite, SOA suite, Alfresco, JIRA, etc. Experience in tuning database on Oracle 10g

8. Knowledge in Oracle Identity Management (Oracle Access Manager, Oracle Identity Manager, Oracle Internet Directory, Oracle Entitlement Servers)

9. Strong Sub-version administration, branching and merging experience

10. Experience installing and administering tools like Atlassian suite (JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, Crowd), Nexus Maven is highly desired

11. Proven experience implementing continuous build and test automation in a large scale environment

12. Experience with creating, cloning, managing VMWare RedHat Virtual machines. Lab manager experience is preferable

13. Understand Enterprise applications deployment lifecycles especially Java/J2EE based

14. Reasonably good in Java Programming language

15. Experience in profiling, debugging Java applications, and tuning JVMs

16. Understands and develop JUnit/TestNg Unit test case code

17. Experience in Agile environment is a strong plus
