Senior Technical Support Engineer

Responsibilities:

Primary lead for APAC technical support issues working closely with local sales Engineers
Provide strong technical and customer support in problem resolution, technical documentation and identification and resolution of product performance issues
Communicate and support the technical support global escalation and support process
Be the APAC lead as interface to the North America technical support organization
Propose knowledge base FAQs and technical documents
Recommend changes to product documentation
Experience in technical support for both hardware and software
Knowledge of LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies
Able to work independently and with cross functional teams
Having knowledge on Unix/Linux system is an advantage

Requirements:

Bachelor Degree in Computer, Electrical or Mechanical or equivalent
8 years of experience as a customer-facing Product Support Engineer or related technical support role
Ability to troubleshoot local and/or wide area wireless networking, configure and troubleshoot wireless security and analyze wireless and wired network traces
Knowledge of bar coding and/or RFID technologies and systems
Basic understanding of network protocols and standards (e.g. Windows, WEH, Andriod)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service and troubleshooting skills
Good spoken and written English
Ability to speak in Korean or Thai will be an added advantage
