NETWORK ENGINEER:
NETWORK ENGINEER 1:
DUTIES:
1. Gathering and documenting existing client network and device information into a workbook that will be leveraged to develop the migration plan.
2. Support FW & NW engineering in the development of the Engineering Work Order (EWO) & Firewall Changes.
3. Entry Level experience with network engineering and architecture skills.
4. Ability to support a team of network engineers and client accounts in the network transformation effort.
5. Strong requirements gathering and documentation of network environments.
6. Respond to requests for technical information from Lead Engineers.
7. Travel may be required
REQUIRED:
1. Formal network education (CCNA desired, HP Networking Technology equivalent certification or higher education) or at least 3 years experience in network engineering and documentation.
2. Knowledge of networking hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
3. Expert level capabilities within the Microsoft Office suite of tools, especially Excel and Visio.
4. Professional attention to detail and with sense of urgency.
5. Knowledge of IP, including TCP, UDP, NATing, OSPF, and BGP.
6. Knowledge of IOS stack layer 1, 2, 3

NETWORK ENGINEER L2:
SAME AS NETWORK ENGINEER 1 WITH THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONS:
REQUIRED:
4.    3+ years in network engineering and documentation.
5.    CCNA required, CCNP desired, HP Networking Technology equivalent certification or equivalent network certification with minimum 5 years experience in data center network infrastructures.
6.    Knowledge and experience with network IOS stack layers 1 thru 3.
EDUCATION:
3.    HS diploma or equivalent required
4.    Higher education strongly desired (Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field)
NETWORK ENGINEER 3:
SAME AS NETWORK ENGINEER 1 & 2 WITH THE FOLLOWING ADDITIONS:
REQUIRED:
3.    5+ years in network engineering and documentation.
4.    CCNP required, CCIE desired, HP Networking Technology equivalent certification or equivalent network certification with minimum 5+ years experience in data center network infrastructures.
EDUCATION:
3.    HS diploma or equivalent required
4.    Higher education required (Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical field). This requirement can be waived at hiring mangers discretion if work experience and/or history are applicable.
Role description applies to all "Network Engineer" related skill sets to include: Network Technician, Firewall Engineer, Load balancer Engineer, WAN Engineer, NIPS/NIDS Engineer, Network Architect etc.
