Dear Candidate, Greetings to you!! We have an opening with FE Core development team. Please see the JD below: MTS/Staff engineer / Manager--5-15+Years Responsibilities: 1. In-depth analysis and triaging of Kernel/networking problems reported by customers and system test. - Build scripts to help in initial triaging 2. Interface with system test and JTAC to get all the relevant information and help improve quality of reported Problems. Help with reproduction of these problems to narrow it down. 3. Build a knowledge base about different problems and how to narrow it down to a specific component. This position will help enhance a system level understanding of JUNOS and its products and is a critical position for the JUNOS kernel team with high visibility across Junos Core as well as various Business units. 4. Bug Fixing in different kernel areas Skills: Expertise in UNIX kernel internals and general networking. Should have worked previously in IP networking or telecom. Strong C, system understanding and debugging skills are required. Experience debugging complex PRs in complex systems including but not limited to scaling and performance issues, packet loss, memory leaks and memory corruption and kernel panics. Experience using various debugging tools (as well as writing own) for the above. Working knowledge of SMP, routing protocols, Ethernet switching and packet forwarding desired. Experience with some of TCP/IP, IPv6, MPLS, ARP, multicast highly desired. Candidate must possess good oral and written communication skills, be highly self motivated and have the ability to interface with JTAC, system test, other BUs and justify analysis and recommendations. Should be capable of working on multiple issues by prioritizing activities on a daily basis to achieve various milestones.
