Job description:-
Candidate need to cover support window 16x7 from 7am to 11pm as well as be supporting the emergency requests outside these support hours for the following:
* Fault Management
* Emergency on site Support
* Trouble Report and Fault Correction Handling
* Customer specific Fault Correction Packages
* Cisco Generic Update Packages
Requirements:
The Routing Protocol (RP) Customer Support Engineer (CSE) position has the following responsibilities:
--Provide phone/email consultation to independently debug complex Routing issues.
--Provide systems/product training both internally and externally
--Acts as a focal point for large account network problem resolution.
--Acts as a technical expert for enterprise and Service Provider content delivery solutions.
--Impact is major.
--Typically interfaces with lower level CSE's, VARs, OEMs & end-users & internal engineering departments.
Required Skills:
* 7+ years IP Networking experience; Working knowledge of Networking industry, products and protocols
* 3+ years experience with Cisco routing products or other industry routing solutions.
* Experience and Knowledge of the following technologies: MPLS, OSPF, BGP, ISIS , Multicast, IPV6.
* Knowledge and hands-on experience on the following products: Cisco7600, Cisco6500, Cisco3800, Cisco2941 MWR,, Cisco 4900 Cisco7200, and ASR (desirable)
* Advanced Routing Protocol troubleshooting expertise required
-- Strong documentation skills--to be utilized for case management, knowledge capture, defect management and training.
-- Excellent verbal communication skills.
-- Very strong problem solving skills.
-- Working knowledge of handling network down situations--this role will be handling S1/S2 Service Requests with limited supervision.
-- Ability to drive recreates remotely--many issues result in the engineer needing to perform a recreate of the customer problem in order to isolate the issue and resolve.
