Location : Oman
Roles and Responsibilities:
Independently handling corporate clients with the focus on the following areas:
• Knowledge of IP based networking (LAN and WAN), various TCP/IP based protocols, routing protocols and data communications.
• Implementation, Administration and Support networking and security products such as switches, routers, firewall, load balancers, intrusion prevention, end-point security and others from popular brands such as Cisco, Juniper, HP, etc.
• Implementation and support for network and security management products such as HP Openview NNM, PI, Cisco Works, Netscreen Security Manager, HP Procurve Manager, etc.
• Good knowledge about various Windows operating systems especially Server platforms such as Windows Server 2000/2003/2008. Should understand other Windows Server products such as Exchange, ISA, IIS, etc. Good knowledge of common protocols and utilities such as DNS, SMTP, POP3, HTTP, SSL, SSH, Telnet, SNMP, FTP, etc.
• Should be aware about various office applications and how the network and security products integrate with other systems and applications.
• Should be aware of information security standards and best practices. Should be capable of protecting the perimeter using various products and solutions. Should be aware of using core firewalls and DMZs.
• Should be able to handle interoperability between different vendors such as HP, Cisco, Juniper, etc. for various Layer 2/3/4 features.
• Should have good understanding of routing (including multicast routing) using static and routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF. Knowledge of other protocols such as BGP, EIGRP will be preferred. Should be able to implement routing setups across products.
• Should be knowledgeable or have experience with voice based solutions such as IP telephony, unified communication, etc. from reputed vendors such as Cisco, Avaya, etc.
• Should be knowledgeable or have experience with wireless network technologies such as Wireless Access points, Controllers, management software, etc. from reputed vendors such as Cisco, HP, etc.
• Should be aware and be experienced with passive networking components such as fiber and UTP cabling, patch panels, intelligent patch panel, network jacks, connectors, etc.
• Should be able to design networks and security setup and have good documentation skills to present diagrams, design and configuration documents.
• Should understand and be well versed with Project methodology in implementations. Should be capable of making scope and schedule, monitoring progress and closing the projects with right documents and customer satisfaction.
• Should have a customer oriented approach and be able to interact with clients at all levels.
Desired profile of the candidate
Minimum 8 years experience of overall experience in Networking, Security, Wireless and Voice technologies.
Minimum 5 years experience with Cisco enterprise level Networking and Security products such as switches, routers, firewalls, content switches, IDS/IPS, NAC, wireless devices, IPT solutions, etc.
Minimum 1 years experience with Juniper enterprise level routers, firewall and IDP devices.
Minimum 2 years experience with other vendors such as HP Procurve, Sonicwall, Avaya, Bluecoat, etc.
Minimum 2 years experience with management software such as HP NNM, PI, OM, Ciscoworks, NSM, Procurve Manager, ASDM, Ethereal, Wireshark,
Cisco Certifications – such as CCIE, CCNP, CCSP (mandatory)
Juniper Certifications – such as JNCIS, JNCIP, JNCIA (mandatory)
Other vendor certifications – such as Avaya, HP, Bluecoat, others, (nice to have)
Info-security certifications – such as CISSP, others, (nice to have)
Other professional certifications – ITIL, others, (nice to have)
CTC details – RO.1000/- per month
Other Facilities : (Accomodation/schoolin/Travelling cost included in CTC)
a) Accommodation (Family or Single Status) (fully furnished) – Family status which is covered in CTC
b) Medical Facility – Will be provided for family of 4 ( 2+2)
c) Schooling Facility (If Family accommodation permitted) – Included in CTC
d) Passage time in terms of paid leave granted – Once in a year for family
e) Travelling facility (Car) –. Company will provide petrol card and Car allowance which is Included in CTC. The car is to be purchased by candidate.
