Dear Candidate, Position: L1 Network Engineer Location: Hyderabad Experience: 4 to 10 years Job Descriptions and Responsibilities: L1: RESPONSIBILITIES: * Staff position for 24 x 7 Network Operations Center with on-call responsibilities and requirements for working outside of normal business hours. * Responsible for the day to day sustaining activities for the eCommerce enterprise network. * Monitoring network management systems for optimal operations, taking action against alerts and notifications as required. * Troubleshooting and incident resolution, including escalation to additional resources as appropriate to ensure timely resolution. * Monitors ticket queues for incidents and change requests and maintains solid documentation of all activities in support of the ticket. * Provides tier 2 escalation support for all networking issues * Maintains and executes work instructions as documented. * Complies with company's change management control process. * Participates in continuous process improvement. * Experience in initiating and managing major outage process & conference bridge * Perform basic troubleshooting of Cisco network device health, determine routing path, ARP/CAM lookup & layer-2 traceroute, determine L2 errors & discard * High level understanding of Network Management concepts and products (Fault, Configuration, Performance, Account etc) * Understand how to use NetScout or Infinistream product * Engage external vendors and open up TAC as needed REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or 3 years of experience in Network Operations. * Cisco CCNA Certification * Comfortable in a large Cisco-based campus/data center switch environment with basic understanding of spanning tree, VLANs, and HSRP. * Familiarity with HTTP, DNS, DHCP, HTTPS, SSL protocols * Familiarity with proxy, web servers, web services, load balancing, firewalls * Familiarity with Cisco IOS based switch platforms. * Familiarity with L3 routing protocols. * Strong communication and documentation skills. Level 2 Network Engineer A skilled internet technology professional with a background within the financial services infrastructure and applications verticals. A technology subject matter expert whom can act as a lead and will provide and communicate complex technology subjects across differing audiences including technical, managerial, executive and vendor levels. The engineer will be able to act as a proficient team member or an individual contributor while demonstrating an awareness of business and function for which the systems are designed. The engineer will work under general direction on complex projects and on specific assigned problems or tasks. This engineer will typically have 5 years of systems engineering experience in an enterprise environment. Net OPS: Level 2 Firewall * Staff Position for business day support with on-call responsibilities and availability for work outside normal business hours * Responsible for the day to day support activities for the ecommerce Firewall infrastructure * Advanced skills with Firewall products & technologies across multi-site, multi-tier and Data Center facility environments * CCIE, CISSP or similar Network Certifications * Troubleshooting and incident resolution, including failover management, packet and log analysis and escalation to additional resources as appropriate to ensure timely resolution * Experience with Net Scout, Infinistream, or other enterprise packet capture and analysis tools * Approves changes to firewall management alerts and thresholds * Participates in project calls and with internal groups to gather detailed technical documentation and understanding of operational impacts * Able to perform implementations or provide necessary details to handover implantation team as required * Review performance data during issues and daily hours to identify anomalies * Provides operational documentation of ecommerce firewalls * Works with engineering teams and external vendors for chronic issues, bugs and feature enhancements * Complies with change management control processes * Participates in continuous process improvement   Net OPS: Level 2 Routing and Switching * Staff Position for business day support with on-call responsibilities and availability for work outside normal business hours * Good overall network background with an understanding of routing & switching protocols and application layer protocols in a dmz and enterprise environment * Advanced skills with Nexus protocols like VDC and fabricpath * CCNA, CCNP or similar Network Certifications * Expert knowledge with Cisco products & technologies * Troubleshooting and incident resolution, including failover management, packet and log analysis and escalation to additional resources as appropriate to ensure timely resolution * Experience with Net Scout, Infinistream, or other enterprise packet capture and analysis tools * Able to perform implementations or provide necessary details to handover implementation team as required * Approves changes to router and switch management alerts and thresholds * Participates in project calls and with internal groups to gather detailed technical documentation and understanding of operational impacts * Review performance data during issues and daily hours to identify anomalies * Responsible for operational documentation of network * Complies with change management control processes * Participates in continuous process improvement Net OPS: Load Balancing L2 * Staff Position for business day support with on-call responsibilities and availability for work outside normal business hours * Responsible for the day to day support activities for the ecommerce load balancing infrastructure and applications * Subject matter expert with F5 products & technologies * Strong knowledge of web traffic load balancing function and manipulation procedures along with capacity planning on a high availability system * Advanced skills of designing , coding and troubleshooting Irules and Icontrol * Working knowledge of leveraging F5 devices for web acceleration & caching * Expert knowledge of the global traffic manager and Iquery functionality between LTM & GTM for a HA design * Experience with Net Scout, Infinistream, or other enterprise packet capture and analysis tools * Review changes for potential load balancing and DNS Management alerts and thresholds * Review performance data during issues and daily hours to identify anomalies * Responsible for operational documentation of end to end load balancing * Able to perform implementations and provide necessary details to handover to implementation team as required * Works with engineering teams and external vendors for chronic issues, bugs and feature enhancements * Complies with change management control processes * Participates in continuous process improvement Mail resume to: pavan.racherla@smartims.com If you find the role and skills suit your experience please forward your updated profile with the following details: Full Name: Total Experience: Current CTC: Expected CTC; Notice Period: Regards Pavan Kumar R.S. pavan.racherla@smartims.com
