Designation:TechnicalSupport Experience:5-10years Joblocation:Chennai Job type: Full time/Permanent Job Overview: A champion technical support engineer (CTSE) is a key member to Extreme Networks service organization. CTSE primarily responsible are to delight our customers with excellent technical support and customer service skills. Additionally, the CTSE serve as a liaison between the customer and the rest of the company to report product defects or other product related challenges. Finally, the CTSE also serve as a mentor and escalation point for junior support engineers. The ideal candidates will have NOC and/or TAC experience, outstanding customer skills and a very strong desire to learn and develop technically. Strong working knowledge in Networking. Responsibilities include : * Provide product technical support for all Extreme products * Ability to analyze, configure and troubleshoot large complex networks with mixed media and protocols. * Effectively utilizes complex lab setups to duplicate and solve problems. Work with engineering team in solving customer problems. * Submits complete and correct product defect reports in area of expertise. * Effectively works with CA and cross-functional teams to resolve major customer issues. * Provides systems/product training both internally and externally and intellectual property material. * Drive for continuous learning, results orientation and teamwork. * Becoming a Subject Matter Expert. * Willingness to travel up to 25% internationally Technical Skills Required: * Able to determine problems and deliver solutions with a high level of customer satisfaction. * Strong working knowledge of Routing & Switching. * Strong working knowledge of Wireless. * Strong working knowledge of Ethernet, TPC/IP and SNMP. * Network Management knowledge is a plus. * Knowledge in Windows and UNIX OS. * CCIE desired. Soft Skills Required: * Excellent written, verbal communication, interpersonal and presentation skills. * Ability to function effectively in ambiguous circumstances. * Shares information and communicates clearly with team members to improve team effectiveness. Encourages and accepts feedback. * Should be an excellent team player * Proven crisis management and leadership skills * Proven planning, prioritization and organizing skills. * Ability to multitask several critical issues simultaneously * Self initiated and seek opportunities for excellence pro-actively Education and Experience Requirement: · Typically require Bachelor of Engineering (Computer Science, Electronics, Communications, Information Technology or Networking). · Masters Degree in Computer Networking is a plus · Minimum of 5 year's experience in TAC / NOC environment for a high tech company. Support Hours: Monday-Friday (Shift: 5.30 am to 2:30 pm IST for the most part, but will also have to work on Europe and America shift on need basis.
