Advanced TAC Integrated security profile(Firewall)
Responsibilities:
â¢Deliver high-quality technical assistance for Firewall and VPN products through telephone and electronic communication.
â¢Provide customer advocacy for documentation and timely resolution of issues, and for problem reproduction and escalation.
â¢Provide hardware and software technical support, including configuration assistance and troubleshooting of devices and other peripheral networking equipment.
â¢Document and reproduce customer related networking problems, and if necessary coordinate fixes by engineering department.
â¢Prepare technology white papers.
â¢Manage critical customer accounts and escalation requests.
â¢Mentor newly hired support engineers and peers in technical areas of specialty.
â¢Provide ongoing technical and process training on new product developments and service offerings.
â¢Serve as team escalation point for difficult technical and customer issues.
â¢Participate as technical expert in product marketing meetings, and support readiness project work.
â¢Work with external partners, vendors, and customers to clearly document and distribute FAQs for knowledge transfer and consistently accurate resolutions.
â¢Document all actions taken toward resolving customer issues in contact tracking database.
â¢Develop common question and answer documentation to be included in department knowledge base.
â¢Provide regional and overflow telephone support.

Requirement:
⢠Requires B.A., B.S., or equivalent in electrical engineering or computer science and 6+ years of industry experience in a customer support role.
⢠Netscreen Certified Security Associate certificate is a plus.
⢠Extensive background in internetworking, LAN, and WAN technologies required.
⢠Strong ability to independently debug broad, complex, and unique networks with mixed media and protocols required.
⢠Strong understanding of network troubleshooting tools like ethreal and tcpdump.
⢠Demonstrated track record of providing outstanding customer service.
⢠Demonstrated ability to accurately gather information and document same in a CRM system.
⢠Superior verbal and written communication skills. Ability to capture and interpret packet traces.
⢠Strong working knowledge of Routing, Switching, Firewall and VPN.

Work with highly knowledgeable group of customers and as escalation point for other TAC groups within the organization.
Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues, replicate customer network scenarios and network problems in the lab.
Provide technical expertise and guidance during testing, deployment and operational phases. Manage critical customer issues and facilitate communication between customers, escalation, and engineering.
Be a customer advocate for timely resolution of issues and for problem reproduction and escalation. Document and reproduce customer related networking problems
Co ordinate with Development engineers for the fix and test the fix in the lab environment before offering to customer.
Supporting customers during maintenance activities and provide online trouble shooting tips
Attend release readiness reviews with engineering team and provide TAC feedback based on customer experience
Participate in tasks such as new product development projects, Knowledge base creation, Chalk talk and other documentation activities. Help improve processes and tools.
2. TAC for SRX
Requires B.S. in Electronics Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience in Network security and IP networks. Candidates who have worked extensively on firewall, UTM, routing protocols, multicasting, MPLS in large deployments are preferred. CCIE/JNCIE level certification in security or routing is a Plus.
Skills
1. TCP/IP and related protocols (TCP, UDP, DNS, DHCP),
2. Thorough knowledge of network security, firewall, IDP and UTM technologies
3. IPsec, NAT, common application (HTTP, FTP etc) and VoIP protocols like SIP
4. IP routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, ISIS, RIP),Routers, Switches,
5. Multicasting, MPLS, Radius, AAA etc.
6. Ability to analyze packet captures and extensive Network/IP protocol troubleshooting experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (XP, 2000, 98, NT), Unix and Linux. Excellent written and verbal communications skills, good personal organization skills, ability to provide leadership for frontline technical support engineers, and solid customer service attitude required.
⢠This position is for the TAC (Technical Assistance Centre) of Juniper for their J and SRX Series products support.
⢠Level 3 support
⢠Individual Contributor Role
- Ideally a candidate with 4 plus years of extensive network implementation with low level trouble shooting experience
- Shift coverage during day time
- Should have a proven trouble shooting expertise
- Flexible on qualification as long as they are strong in the areas mentioned above
