Job Qualifications

·         Should possess a university degree or a diploma from a specialized school

·         4 to 5 years experience in Network Security (Juniper SSL, F5 GTM/LTM, Bluecoat proxies) with a profile similar to a Cisco TAC Senior Analyst.

·         Strong work experience and analytical skills in isolating faults & network problems, problem resolution and service restoration as well as configuration knowledge in IP networking, including skills in the areas of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP preferred), traffic Shaping and QoS (DSCP, Cisco queuing mechanism), layer 2 and 3 VPN technologies (GRE / IPSEC / SSL tunnels) and provider's data connection offerings (VPLS, MPLS, xDSL, FR, ATM).

·         Skilled in working with LAN switching in a CISCO environment, including STP, VLAN, VTP, MLS.  Knowledge and experience in Cisco's Wireless technologies will be a bonus.

·         Working knowledge of standard network services is expected (DNS, DHCP, NTP, TFTP, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SSL, SNMP, etc).

·         Preferably experience in network management, monitoring and troubleshooting tools.

·         Strong documenting and technical writing skills.

·         Reliable, result oriented and analytical person who always takes accountability/responsibility

·         Can work under pressure and manage stressful situations confidently & effectively

·         Essential to have a positive attitude, be business-focused, customer & service minded

·         A team player who is also self motivated and can investigate and drive issues independently

·         Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with other services, end-users and management

 

Job Description:

·         As a team member of the NVV Service Delivery Team, you will focus primarily on the Deliver Service process. 

·         You will support the Service Delivery Manager, the Time zone Service Coordinators and the Dispatcher to ensure that service availability and trouble tickets resolution meets or exceeds stipulated KPIs. 

·         You will execute tasks as defined by the processes and those specified by the Service Delivery Manager or Time zone Service Coordinators. 

·         Your operational tasks will be monitoring of network components availability, servicing escalated tickets from Global Service Desk and responding to messages and requests coming into the team's mailbox. 

·         From time to time, the Global Design Leads will introduce new standards and designs, or revise existing ones; you will need to confirm to these design and standardisation in the course of executing your tasks. 

·         You may also be tasks by the Design Leads or Service Coordinators to enforce or rollout certain revisions or new design and standards globally or regionally

·         Working in a team, the role entails supporting the global network (LAN, WAN, Wireless, security, etc), as well as related appliances (WAN Optimizers, Juniper SSL, F5 GTM/LTM, Bluecoat proxies).  Knowledge and past experiences on UNIX scripting, BIND and Apache, Cisco VoIP systems will be an advantage
