SI experience in technologies like AS400 , Mainframe , Webspehere Server , Banking technologies apart from Infra PM experience JD : Job Title Project Manager Business Area Global Programmes Role/Team Summary The Role Holder (RH) leads project or service work to ensure that projects or services are delivered on time, within budget and to the customer"s expectations. RH may be required to define or modify the scope of the project or service. RH typically manages small single projects or components of larger projects that are multi-disciplinary or have multiple interfaces. RH manages project or service goals, risks, issues, and resources, reviewing deliverables against defined criteria of quality. A typical project size is up to £1M. Key progress check-points are established, monitored and controlled by a Project, Support, or Programme Manager. Within a project or service structure, RH takes responsibility for an internal team and any third party suppliers involved in development or support of a self-contained project or service or components thereof. RH is responsible for the effective use of resources. RH may also be accountable to a Project or Support Manager for managing the interests of other identified project or service stakeholders. Essential Experience: (Must have skills) RH should have minimum 10 years of Project Management experience with a track record of delivery as a project or support leader, either managing IT projects or within a service or operational environment. RH should have a good experience to industry standard Project management and Development life cycle. RH should have experience on following skill * Project or Service Delivery - Accounts (in most instances to a Project, Support, or Programme Manager) for the production of deliverables according to agreed timescales, quality criteria, and budgets, to meet business objectives. * Planning - Produces project plans and schedules. Plans the work of a small team or group to specified standards using appropriate tools * Monitoring and Control - Monitors and reports on progress to appropriate managers, sponsors, and customers in accordance with reporting standards. Ensures that the project or service remains within the defined scope * Risk and Issue Management - Diagnoses and evaluates potential risks and issues, highlights them to the appropriate manager, and executes plans to resolve them * Quality and Change Control - Applies relevant technical and management standards, methodologies, and tools in an intelligent and effective way. Implements change control processes. Implements configuration management processes, and ensures that they are adhered to. * Stakeholder Management - Identifies and manages relationships with all stakeholders including third parties. Acts as the primary point of contact where agreed with the Project, Support, or Programme Manager. * People Management - Supports the project organisation by assigning roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities, prioritising tasks, and organising workflow. Manages third parties to ensure successful project execution. * Financial Management - Where appropriate, participates in establishing the scope and budget of the project or service. Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills) 1. Ensures project or service scope and deliverables are defined and agreed with all relevant parties. 2. Undertakes a pro-active customer care programme ensuring the set-up and provision of an effective service or operation. 3. Ensures all project commitments are met, and monitors and reports on progress to Senior Project Manager, sponsor, and customer, as well as the Programme Support Office (PSO) in accordance with the reporting standards, ensuring the project remains within scope. 4. Diagnoses and evaluates potential risks and issues throughout the project. Reports regularly to the PSO and Senior Project Manager with regard to risks, and executes appropriate plans to contain them. 5. Acts as escalation point for problems and complaints, and manages compliance, contingency, and risk situations within own area of control. Monitor and manage resources (staff, suppliers, and hardware & software) in a cost effective manner, identify opportunities for cost reduction, and action cost reduction initiatives Personal Attributes: * Excellent and assertive communication and influencing / negotiating skills would be a pre-requisite. Able to communicate in English effectively. * Highly motivated, self-starting, and committed to achieving results and have a strong sense of ownership and follow-through to resolution. * Ability to interface effectively with all levels and across organizational lines, including the business units. * RH must hold a recognised Project Management qualification or the equivalent gained through practical experience.
