Job description:

Operations Maturity Champion






Track: Quality and Process Role Title: Operations Maturity Champion







I. Position Summary
· Drive implementation of Operations Maturity (OM) Framework across various engagements in IT IS practice

· Enable delivery teams with best practices and identifying service improvement opportunities



II. Key Result Areas

· Facilitate and ensure compliance to all elements of OM framework by delivery teams

§ Engagement level ownership and drive on DMI (TMI,AMI) and CSAT

· Support delivery teams in the ideation of continual service improvement themes and provide ongoing support and mentoring in the execution using methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma and TRIZ

· Ensure compliance of engagements with the ISO 20000 standard throughout its tenure

· Ensure compliance to IT IS Process Space, support delivery during periodic audits and for closure of audit findings

· Conduct process health check assessments to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the processes and support delivery in closing the gaps

· Enable delivery teams to comply with IT IS metrics framework and delivery performance review process in line with IT IS Process Space

· Support delivery teams in identifying risks, conducting causal analysis and planning mitigation

· Conduct training programs on ISO 20000, IT IS Process Space and Lean Six Sigma (Yellow belt)

· Assess the relevance of best practices implemented in various engagements across the practice and support delivery teams in implementing the same in their specific engagements

· Participate in customer governance reviews as required by the delivery teams





III.Typical Responsibilities

Transition



§ Review SoW and highlight gaps

§ Provide recommendations for closure of gaps, wherever applicable

§ Facilitate transition framework

§ Facilitate process definition and stream lining / standardization of processes, Review process documents and provide comments

§ Metrics planning - Set up SLO/KPI, review operational definitions and recommend changes if required

§ Facilitate setting the governance structure

§ Conduct process health assessments







Steady State



i) Compliance to IT IS Process Space

· Conduct periodic reviews and ensure compliance to QMS

· Best practices harvesting and sharing

· Conduct process health assessments





ii) Internal and External Audits

· Work with DAG to ensure compliance to audit framework

· Ensure project readiness for audits - internal, external and customer

· Drive closure of audit findings within agreed completion date

· Drive process level improvements based on audit findings



iii) Risk and Escalation Management

· Facilitate brainstorming session for identification & mitigation of project risks

· Review risk portal to check if the risks are updated with right RPNs

· Work with delivery teams in mitigating process related risks

· Highlight escalations to the stakeholders and work with delivery to identify and implement CAPA



iv) Metrics Planning and Reporting

· Review and validate applicability of SLA parameters and targets defined for the project

· Set up internal SLO/KPI if Customer does not specify SLO in SoW

· Implement standard measurement systems

· Review engagement performance on a weekly basis - analyze trends, review breach analysis and ensure gap closure

· Review MetBook for completeness & correctness of data

· Review PMR deck

· Participate in monthly project management reviews with senior management

· Assess DMI, review gaps and provide improvement recommendations to delivery



v) RCA/ CAPA

· Review RCAs and CAPA (for Sev 0 / Sev 1 / Major incidents / Escalations/ SLA Breaches)

· Review CAPA resulting from CSS action items and ensure the delivery team tracks it until closure





Best Practice Sharing



· Identify best practices adopted in the engagement and share the same across engagements and locations

· Evangelize best practice adoption at the engagement and practice level

CSI



· Conduct brainstorming sessions and value stream mapping for identification of CSI opportunities

· Facilitate execution of Biz Ex projects / STP/ SIP and drive compliance against the plan

Governance


§ Participate in all transition governance review calls

§ Participate in customer review meetings / customer visits

§ Participate in Business Quality Council



Training

· Conduct OM framework trainings like Process Space, Yellow Belt and ITIL


Customer Satisfaction


· Review customer feedback

· Analyze feedback and identify improvement actions with delivery teams

· Drive improvement actions to closure

People / Team



· Act as a buddy for new hires

· Complete mandatory training for self as identified through career compass


IV.Degree of Independence/Supervision required


Independence:

· Operates independently for routine activities

Supervision:

· Seeks Manager approval only for deviations and exceptions
