Learn more about Capgemini at: www.capgemini.com, www.in.capgemini.com Follow Capgemini on: Twitter:  http://twitter.com/capgeminijobs Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/CapgeminiCareersIndia Upload your CV at www.in.capgemini.com/careers Sun Solaris Administrator Senior Consultant Job Description:   • Provide support for an enterprise-wide Unix (Solaris & Linux) distributed server platforms. • Incident management - work on incidents & service calls elevated from L1. • Problem management - trigger problem management (create problem tickets) - e.g. through observation of trends. • Change management - routine change executions. • He/she must adhere to the Troubleshooting process. • He/she must escalate calls based on customers demand or on own judgment. • Acts as team member by providing information, analysis and recommendations in support of team efforts. • Willingness to participate in non-standard working-time models (e.g. shift, call availability etc...) • Clear communication skills and Ability to work independently • Confident telephone manner and Fluency in English and local language Competency Specification / Skills / Experience (Candidate specification, skills etc): • Should have good knowledge of Solaris 10, Solaris 9, and Linux. • Should have good knowledge of Solaris Cluster, Installation and Administration. • Installation and Administration of Solaris servers. • Configuration and Administration of ZFS. • Solaris Zone Configuration & Management. • Solaris System Resource Management. • Must have hands on Suse and Redhat Linux as secondary skills. • SVM and ZFS Volume Manger Administration. • Package/Patch implementation & maintenance. • Hardware knowledge for Intel based HP/Dell/Sun servers • SUDO installation, Security administration and system hardening. • Monitor Resource Utilization and server health status. • Perform a trend analysis of CPU/Memory/Disk utilization for critical platforms/servers. • Overview of Shell scripting. • Solaris Certification is a must.
