And for more information please log in http://www.symantec.com/user-authentication Qualifications :  9+ years experience with formal SQA methodologies and a good understanding of test methods, and SQA best practices  Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent  Strong expertise and experience in Unix/Linux and Windows  Automation development experience with multiple scripting/programming language.  Strong expertise in white-box and API testing.  Clear understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies.  Database query tools, including the ability to write complex SQL queries  Client/server/database architecture  Able to articulate strong stance for product quality and customer satisfaction, balancing business goals and commitments with quality objectives.  Proven track record of delivery and commitment to customers  Strong verbal and written communication skills  Must be able to work effectively in globally distributed team structure  Be able to isolate defects effectively and provide specific conditions for reproducibility Job Function Responsibilities :  Lead and participate in all aspects of testing, including functional, regression, performance and system testing  Understand technical test challenges and design feasible solutions to address them  Works collaboratively with development & other stake holders during all stages of projects  Work closely with the rest of the engineering team in an agile environment in delivering high quality products  Mentor & guide junior members of team  Organizes own tasks and takes responsibility for progress and completion.  Manages larger projects & understands and manages priorities. Receives little instruction on day to day work except for general instructions.  The Princ. SQA Engineer will: * develop and execute software test plans; * analyze and write test standards and procedures; * maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software; * analyze test results to ensure conformance to established requirements and recommend corrective action; * consult with development engineers in resolution of problems; * analyze and implement automated test suites; * actively participate in design reviews and provide feedback; mentor team members.
