Dear Candidate, Looking for a Senior Developer for one one the world's leading investment bank. The brief of the department is to work with the users to design the optimum Straight Through Processing and control processes for all products, and to deliver solutions either through in-house development or implementation of third party products as well as support of legacy systems. The successful candidate will join a dynamic Front Office IT application development team. This position is for an experienced analyst-developer working on the Derivatives server-side services implementation and consultancy to application developers enhancing or moving their applications onto this strategic platform. The service layer, known as JETS - Java Enterprise Trade Services - is the core suite of applications used for booking, retrieving, notifying trade lifecycle activities in Derivatives, including OTC and Cash Securities trading. The candidate filling this role will be expected to work mostly in the integration of new business processes to this platform, as part of the electronic platform integration initiative. The book-of-work contains remedial work, continuous improvements and participation in the design and development of new services on JETS. The team also provides global 2nd line support for the applications it owns and operates an application support rota in which the candidate will be expected to partake. The Derivatives Trade Management team is a global team with developers located in London, New York, Raleigh and Singapore. Projects are normally implemented by developers across regions so the ability to work effectively with teams in other regions is essential. The development team work very closely with their clients and projects are mainly focused on development of new cutting edge, strategic, trading solutions for new business initiatives as well as enhancements to existing components to improve functionality, control, and efficiency. Expertise in all of: Core Java 5 (or above) Java EE Web Services & Web service clients - Axis,etc Enterprise Java Beans (EJB) JMS with experience in MQ Series, Tibco EMS Weblogic 9.2 or higher Oracle and/or Sybase SQL Linux / Unix Agile development Object Oriented design & development Automated Unit testing (JUnit, etc) Any of the following would also be useful experience: Java / C# Jboss JBPM & Drools XML processing in Java - XMLBeans,SAX/DOM Hibernate Subversion Team City XML/XSLT Scripting PL/SQL Familiarity with Fixed income, FX or Equities instruments.
