Network Engineer Day to Day Activities: * Design network systems using Vision diagrams or similar graphical tools * Participate in the day to day activities around designing / redesigning, setup, and the implementation of routers, switches, firewall and IPS" * Creating test plans, test cases, proof of concepts and more * Document policies and procedures including comprehensive technical manuscripts and complete network information * Participate in day-to-day activities as per the direction of direct managers * Complete adhoc tasks and activities requested by the manager to support networking projects * Provide technical frameworks to meet multiple business needs * Create presentations/solutions and articulate proposals to associates and managers * Work with other SMEs and technical support teams in the pursuit of solutions that are both logical and technically excellent Experience: * Experience with designing network diagrams using Microsoft Visio or other tools * 5+ years of experience in: * IPs/IDS engineering or administration * Firewall, Router, Network administration or engineering * Information Security experience * 3+ years of experience in: * Setting up and/or the redesign of networks and DMZs * IP network analysis, design and engineering activities, supporting large scale enterprise TCP/IP networks * Extensive knowledge in major Internet routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, etc. * Expert knowledge in all levels of routing & switching troubleshooting, including hands-on solutions * Extensive knowledge and experience with major router and switch platforms * Expert with L2/L3 switching including different platforms of Nexus, 6500, 4500, 4900, 3700 etc. * Expert with Routing Protocols EIGRP, OSPF, BGP and different platform of routers 7600, 7200, 3800, 2800 etc. * Expert knowledge of Cisco UCS implementations and troubleshooting * Experience with Layer 3 Protocols (IP, MPLS, VPN, BGP, OSPF, LDP, etc) * Experienced with different Network/Security applications (i.e. DNS, DHCP, ACS, RSA etc.) * Knowledgeable with security technologies ie. Firewalls, ASA Firewalls, VPN, Antivirus, Internet Proxy, E-mail filtering etc. * Experience working with H.323 and SIP VoIP infrastructures is highly desired * Experience with installing and upgrading Cisco voice gateways with PRIs, SIP and analog trunks * Experience working with Telepresence and videoconferencing technologies, preferably H.323 and SIP preferred * Familiar with different monitoring and back-up platforms i.e. Netcool, PRTG, CiscoWorks, NetQoS, Solarwinds * Experience operating systems other than windows is a plus * Experience with wireless and voice is a plus Qualifications * Bachelor"s degree in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent professional experience * CCNP or higher certification preferred * Great communication skills, both verbal and written * Strong interpersonal skills to constructively work with vendors, peers, managers and customers * Team player and inclined towards learning new technologies.
