Software Engineer PHP & Java

We are looking for a goal driven and motivated software developer to work in our Singapore office to work on our exciting new Travel and Tourism development projects. 
Our project was recognised last year by SPRING and IDA and was awarded TECS funding.  
Software development is in various languages and environments so flexibility and adaptablility is required.

This job suites individual with 1 to 2 years industry experience.

The key areas of responsibility include:

• Development of API and software libraries
• Porting of software from object PHP to equivalent Java libraries.
• Development and execution of unit tests to validate libraries
• Integration of written libraries with 3^rd party OEM travel software and websites
• Proven ability to work in a team
• Project work as required

Requirements:

• Hard working
• Well Spoken - Reading and Writing in English
• Well Presented
• 1-2 years experience Java
• 1-2 years experience PHP
• 2 years experience SQL Server or MySQL
• 1-2 years experience in XML, XML-RPC
• Eclipse IDE
• Version Control Systems – CVS, SVN etc
• Proven problem solving ability
• Work autonomously

Highly Considered:

• Travel industry knowledge/experience
• Multilingual English/Chinese or English/Bahasa
• Working knowledge of phpShield
• Degree or Diploma in IT
• Business Analysis skills/experience
• Perl
• C/C++
• VB
• Networking
• Linux
• Quality Assurance processes

References Required:

At least 1 relevant industry reference from direct manager or peer.
