Reporting to: Operation Manager

Objectives/Purpose of the Job

1.     Support provisioning for IPVPN, VOIP and Managed Services.
2.     Manage the technical escalation and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas (Please include KPIs)

1.     Provision, implementation, test and turn up of customer IP services in cooperation with the customer and field services teams. This includes IPVPN, IPsec, BGP transit and MPLS VPNs on layer 2 and 3 on core equipment.
2.     Technical validation of customer IP orders.
3.     Technical point of contact for Service Delivery, Project Management and In-Country Field Engineering teams for issues related to IP service design, implementation, test and turn up.
4.     Prompt identification of issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality.
5.     Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation;
6.     Pro-active escalation, follow-through and liaison with appropriate departments to resolve technical issues which may impact delivery timescales or quality.

Pre-requisites & Competencies

Educational Level
Must have:
  1. University Degree in Telecommunication/Network/IT and IP qualification (CCNA or CCNP, JNCIA or JNCIP etc)
  2. At least two years’ experience of IP services on Cisco or Juniper equipment.
  3. Excellent IP. MPLS and routing knowledge in an ISP environment

Good to have:
-       Experience in PBX, VOIP, IPsec, TCP/IP, Routing, BGP etc

Working Experience
Must have: Exposure on managing IP/MPLS network

Technical Skills Required

1.     Good understanding of Global Telecommunication / IT services and solutions.
2.     Knowledge of and practical experience in the use of ATM, Frame Relay, E1/T1 technologies, Ethernet, and their related network designs
3.     Knowledge in NNI, IPsec & MPLS provisioning
4.     Solid understanding & experience in provisioning and troubleshooting Juniper, & Cisco products
5.     Strong data networking design and architectural background in an environment that includes routed IP and switched ethernet networks.
