Technical Specialist - Server and Network Infrastructure

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and configure server hardware components.
• Install and manage operating system on servers.
• Configure and manage Active Directory operations.
• Configure and manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, WINS, and FSMO roles.
• Install and manage Microsoft Exchange Server.
• Install and manage Microsoft IIS server.
• Install and Manage Microsoft SQL server.
• Install and manage Cisco firewalls, Fortigate firewalls and Netscreen firewalls.
• Configure and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN.
• Install and manage antivirus components on servers.
• Install and manage operating system on desktops and laptops.
• Install and manage antivirus software on desktops and laptops.
• Install and manage computers to work with Active Directory domain.
• Install and manage printers on computers.
• Install and manage user profiles on client computers.
• Install and manage email settings on client computers.
• Install and manage wireless access points.
• Manage Active Directory user accounts on servers.
• Troubleshoot printing issues on client computers.
• Troubleshoot computer network issues.
• Troubleshoot virus/spyware issues on client computers.
• Monitor backup jobs on servers.
• Monitor antivirus status on servers.
• Monitor server storage capacity.
• Configure shared folder permissions.
• Perform routine checks on servers.
• Prepare technical documentation.

In-depth technical skills required:

• Microsoft Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
• Microsoft Windows 2003, Microsoft Windows 2008 Server.
• Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, 2010 Server.
• Microsoft IIS Server.
• Microsoft SQL server.
• Cisco ASA Firewall, Fortigate Firewall, Netscreen Firewall.
• Cisco mid-range routers and switches.
• Symantec Veritas Backup Exec.
• Microsoft Office 2000, XP, 2003, 2007.
• Antivirus software such as Symantec, Mcafee, etc on servers and client computers.
• Linux and Solaris skills would be an advantage.
• Qmail, Postfix, Apache, MySQL, PostgreSQL would be an advantage.

Other requirements:

• 5 years of experience in the field.
• Proficiency in English.
• Proficiency in Indonesian language an advantage.
• Frequent travel to client’s offices in Singapore required.
• Frequent travel to Indonesia required (Bintan Island and Batam Island).
• Positive thinking, self-motivator and highly confident.
• Willing to take initiative to make improvements and innovations.
