Skills: Security Analyst – SoC Exp: 6 to 10 yrs Work Location: Chennai. Description Working as part of the Logica Global N/W Security Operations Centre (SOC), the role involves the following tasks; • Provide QRadar system monitoring, analysis and incident response to network security alerts and events. • Analyze network traffic and QRadar alerts to assess, prioritise and differentiate between genuine security issues and false alarms. • Launch and track investigations to resolution. • Compose and send alert notifications. • Advise incident responders in the steps to take to investigate and resolve network security incidents. • Recommend and implement QRadar sentries to eliminate false positives. • Build and analyse ad-hoc and scheduled reports • Pro-actively seek service and quality improvements Essential Skills Diploma or Engineering Graduate with 6-8 years IT experience and at least 2-3 years in the network and network security domain, mainly Firewalls and VPNs. Must have a minimum of CCNA certification DOMAIN SKILLS Knowledge of one or more of the following information security disciplines: • Intrusion Detection System (IDS) monitoring, • Incident response, • Information assurance, • Computer security best practices, • System hardening • Vulnerability assessment • Vulnerability management • Antivirus • Firewalls SOFT SKILLS Must have excellent communication and documentation skills. Candidates must: • be able to multitask and give equal attention to a variety of functions while under pressure. Speed and accuracy are essential, as is the ability to make quick, informed decisions while facing a deadline. • be interested in network and computer security.
