He should have worked in this field for at least 7-10 years. This is a lead role in which he will be creating efficient scripting solutions and/or solve current issues. We need a hands-on thinker, who is not afraid to proto-type and prove. A lego block mindset will be perfect in which the person creates a whole collection of small reusable pieces which can be patched together for bigger solutions. Advanced knowledge of scripting technologies o Bash/Ksh o PERL o TCL/TK Telecom testing domain exposure is a plus. o python, o sed/awk Regular expressions. o php, mysql o Apache server Solid communication skills are necessary for regular interactions with engineering teams, o assisting them in script management., o script deployment and o enforcement of software/scripting release standards and practices. Deep knowledge of Unix AND Linux. Exposure to OpenSource tools and GNU tool-kit. o Exposure with TestPro is a plus. Experience with QualityCenter (from HP) is a plus. Knowledge of build automation. o Will be closely involved in stream management via scripts and/or infrastructure contributions Preferably, the engineer will be from an engineering background, with knowledge of C and C++. o Exposure to sound software engineering practices is a plus.
