The job description as given below and attached, TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Role - Lead Information Security (8+) Domain - Network & IT Security Experience - 8+ years Reporting - Manager/Director Team - GIS ITC, Hyderabad Candidate fitment attributes - An experienced professional with an understanding of area of IT & Network security and security concepts. Competent with the various tools, procedures, programming languages used to accomplish the job. Usually works with minimal supervision, conferring with a supervisor on unusual matters. Assignments are broad in nature and need ingenuity and originality to solve. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a projects and activities associated with the functions. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. May play a role in high-level projects that have an impact on the company"s future direction. This job requires flexible work timings to suit the requirements of the various time zones. So the analyst will be asked to work in Asia, Europe and North America timings. The role can involve working in shifts (Morning, evening and night) and would require providing rotational on-call support for 24X7 Operations. Education & Qualification - B.E./M.E./MCA or an equivalent degree in IT. (Regular, no distance education) Certifications Completion of all primary certifications (like PMP, CISSP, CISA, CISM, and/or SANS GIAC etc.) in area of specialty is preferred. Professional Certification from Juniper, Cisco, Bluecoat, Microsoft etc on firewalls, VPNs, IDPs Windows, Unix/Linux would be given priority Job responsibilities 1. Technical Management * Network Security Firewalls, Intrusion Detection & Prevention, Intranet, Extranets, Internet, DMZ, Remote Access, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), proxy server * Firewall"s rule configurations, log analysis and debug analysis * Managing the IDP to minimize the possible intrusion using reactive, active and proactive approach * Management of various proxy servers, content filtering add-ons, Remote Access Services * Scheduling, coordination and facilitation skills to manage virtual team activities around review and escalation of threats * Technical Skills on the products - a. Firewalls - Cisco/Juniper/Checkpoint/Paulo Alto b. IDP - Netscreen/Cisco/Sourcefire c. Proxy - Bluecoat/ websence/Zscaler d. Cisco VPN Concentrators e. One time password generation & management * Security Incidents - Analysis of incidents, taking action and working with GIS teams to address security incidents and ensuring closure * Strong working knowledge of all Information Security domains including: network protection, policies, intrusion detection/prevention, access control, etc. * Requires the ability to coordinate Risk Assessments, technical vulnerability assessments and/or external/internal audits * Good understanding and have worked on End User Computer Security- Anti-virus, Patch Management, Email security, SPAM controls * Managing the threat level of the organization by coordination and installation of latest patches, packs, protection software, and updates for the complete IT Infrastructure. This includes network, servers, desktops, middleware and databases * Security awareness training and development * Monthly and Quarterly Reporting - Project Dashboard, Score Card and Operations Update * Provides reports on a regular basis, to keep the senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts. * Prepare written reports including developing recommendations for preventive, active and corrective action * Ensure communication and facilitate implementation of all security management related policies and practices * Assist in evaluation and improvement of security management processes * Change Request discussion and approval * Performance Management and Measurement - establishing metrics to monitor effectiveness * Studies & recommends industry best practices, latest trends for continuous improvement of information security. 2. Soft Skills - * Interpersonal skills with a strong interest in the information security domain. * Strong analytical, logical, problem solving skills and hunger to learn the new technologies in the security domain * Highly motivated with willingness to take ownership/responsibility for their work and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented environment of both technical/non-technical professionals. * Proven ability to work effectively against deadlines. * Strong operational, applications and systems background-An added advantage. * Ability to assist in the definition and implementation of security policies and procedures. * Highly customer focused. * Ability to draft and publish professional communications. * Adept at understanding operational security environment. * Ability to work within an international team which includes team members in diverse time zones.
