Position: Senior Security Consultant

Location: Singapore

Type of Position: Permanent

 

Job Purpose

The Security Consultant is responsible for providing application and infra security consultancy for the overall internal and external project related activities for a widespread territory or a country. He/she works with the various projects team and sales engineering team in providing excellent pre- and post-sales technical supports in the area of application and infra security requirements.

Key Accountabilities

• Provide application and infra security consultancy to the sales, pre-sales and the various project delivery teams.
• Provide the necessary security consultant support during tenders process and prepare requiredwrite-up and proposals.
• Play a security architect role to support the various delivery projects.
• Able to support one or more concurrent projects independently.

 Job Responsibilities & Duties

▪   Develop and implement security guidelines and procedures in accordance to information security policies and industry best practices

▪   Perform risk assessment on critical information security assets to identify the threats and vulnerabilities and recommend the appropriate mitigation controls

▪   Conduct security audit, review and assessment to identify the weaknesses and vulnerabilities, and ensure they are resolved in a timely manner

▪   Conduct Infrastructure and application vulnerability and penetration scanning and reporting

▪   Ensure the security compliance to government regulation and customer contractual requirement

▪   Develop and implement security procedures and new technology to ensure compliance to security standards

▪   Provide consultancy to support external projects relating to information security

▪   Support PKI consulting engagements

▪   Provide software security architecture and implementing PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and digital certificate solutions for RFP/tenders.

▪   Keeps abreast of security technological advancement, emerging information security standards and new security software or hardware solutions

▪   Ability leading and conducting Proof-Of-Concept (POC) and Demo activities to assist sales in closing deals

▪   Excellent communication and presentation skills (Tender presentation)

▪   Excellent documentation skills with Fluent English(Technical write-up and proposal writing)

▪   Any other duties as and when assigned.

Minimum Education/Qualifications

▪   Should possess a Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering

▪   CISSP or other security certifications is a must.

▪   CCNA or other networking certifications is highly desirable.

Minimum Years/Type of Experience

▪   Minimum 7+ years industry experience including 3+ years subject field experience.

▪   Experience in designing and implementing PKI technologies into hardware and software.

▪   Familiarity with a variety of security technologies and tools also required.

▪   Must be a technically-inclined person with lots of hands-on experience in various security technologies and software products. 

▪   Should have experience with one of more of the following PKI products: UniCERT, Microsoft Certificate Services, Entrust Authority (PKI).

▪   Should have solid knowledge of information security principles and practices.

▪   Experience in designing and implementing PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and digital certificate.

▪   Excellent verbal and written communications skills required and also expected to be customer focused and ability to work well within a dynamic team environment. 

▪   Hands-on experience in application penetration testing, Cryptography, Smartcard, HSM, JavaCard, J2ME security, Identity Management, and Single Sign-On (SSO) will have a firm advantage.

▪   Profound understanding of the interdependencies of the services (application, system, network and database) and their failover capabilities in a n-Tier Data Center Environment

▪   Deep understanding of common and emerging security technologies and solutioning, eg IBM, Symantec, RSA, DS3, Trend Micro, McAfee, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, F5, Splunk, etc
