Job Description
Job Objective
The role of operations and maintenance support engineer is to provide full technical and operation &maintenance support for all third parties vendors not being part of the current viva network managed services performed by managed services vendors.
Key Responsibilities/Duties
ï§ Participate in the achievement of the departmentâs objectives by performing technical support, design, Implementations, and O&M related activities;
ï§ Work with all team members to ensure that the policies, procedures, systems and frameworks applicable are followed properly to ensure the unit operates efficiently;
ï§ Follow-up with the Vendorâs Team on any Remote or onsite technical Projects/issues and all technical aspect before and after delivery
ï§ Working with Network Managers or Executives within Technology for gathering requirements, pre-analysis, implementation and testing and product/projects deliveries.
ï§ Perform any type of correction testing, including the non-regression and compatibility, on every patch and minor version of the Licenses.
ï§ Bug Fixation- delivers the remedies and workarounds for related software faults that may be in the form of a corrected copy of the supplied software or a temporary fix or a patch.
ï§ Notify or alarm about all events related to the software that may have an impact on the services offered by the system or may have an impact on the performance level of the system.
ï§ Set a list of corrective actions and alarms (specific to each identified fault or problem) to be implemented after every preventive maintenance program.
ï§ Develop documents for internal/external purposes such as issues technical reports, processes between our Departments and external communications as network improvements.
ï§ Run update campaigns on customer sim cards to incorporate any specific values (ex: Roaming related keys , M-commerce related keys )
ï§ Provide capabilities to update the STK menu over the air as deemed necessary by the company , estimated at 6-8 requests/year.
ï§ Support in integrating Content providers to the STK menu services .
ï§ Gemalto to have a proper SLA insuring the continuity of the STK related services.
ï§ Perform site surveys as required for design and operational activities.
ï§ Co-ordinate Installation and commissioning activities on site.
ï§ Produce Schematic drawings as required with data fill activities.
ï§ Perform PAT and final testing.
ï§ Maintain data base and documentation.
ï§ Perform other duties as requested.
