Ford Technology Services India (FTSI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company. With about 7000 employees in Ford IT globally and about 3000 employees in India, FTSI provides critical Information technology, Engineering, Infrastructure solutions & Services to support Ford operations worldwide. FTSI is located in hi-tech RMZ facility in Chennai, India. It is one of the three major IT application development centres of Ford Motor Company, the others located in North America and Europe.

Project Lead - Network Planner / Architect

Responsibilities:

· Designs, evaluates, selects, integrates and packages network solutions to meet the needs of the enterprise wide business

· Participates in the creation of network infrastructure roadmaps

· Evaluates new hardware and software to be included in the network infrastructure portfolio

· Collaborates with infrastructure teams on technology

· Consults with Ford internal IT staff on technical infrastructure and application requirements in respect to network usage and performance

· Manages the implementation of complex and critical network solutions

· Manages, assists, and escalates in-production network problem resolution

· Provides technical mentoring to Associate Network Engineers, Network Engineers I and Network Engineers II

Requirements:

· At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

· Extensive knowledge of network management, engineering disciplines, and operating systems are a must.

· An excellent addition to your skill sets is a sub-specialty such as telecommunications or e-commerce.

Required skill(s):

· Network Design Modelling

· Network Performance Planning

· Network Capacity Planning

· Establishment of Telecommunications Standards (LAN/WAN)

· Manage technology vendors.

· CCDA / CCDP / CCDE / CCNP (Any one is MUST)
