Currently, we have an excellent opening at Nigeria for below mentioned profile. Position Title: System Engineer Purpose: Responsible for maintaining integrity and operational suitability of all Linux and windows servers. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Maintain integrity and operational suitability of all servers * Develop applications and system tools * Back-up/restore/develop all system applications and databases * Troubleshoot all application-related issues * Other task assigned by line manager Essential Skills/Knowledge * Experience as network administrator or systems engineer in an ISP environment * Expert knowledge of Unix/Linux and other operating systems * Thorough understanding of Internet protocols. * Advanced knowledge in network architectures and networking hardware configurations * Advanced knowledge in security and Linux firewall implementations * Advanced knowledge in software configurations, preferably with the following: Apache, PHP/ASP/Python, Perl and others * Expert knowledge in database design and administration (MS SQL, MYSQL, Oracle, etc) * Advanced skills and experience on back-up/restoration/disaster recovery design and implementation * Must be able to create script to automate various processes * Knowledge in OSS (RADIUS, Billing systems, DHCP, etc) * Strong written and oral communications skills in English * Willing to perform work or support outside office hour * Highly motivated and resourceful * Must be a team player and be able to prioritize different request and requirements Desirable Skills/Knowledge * Scripting and programming skills * UNIX/LINUX/SunSolaris advanced knowledge * Database administration On Joining 1) Company Housing - company staff house which is close to the office and where the rest of the single expatriates staff live. House helper, cook and security is provided. 2) Company Transport - company car pool and driver provided 3) International Medical coverage - we use International SOS-CIGNA (http://www.cigna.com/) 4) Group Life Insurance 5) Workers Compensation - work related injury insurance After Probation (3 months but can be extended to a max of 6 months) you will get paid leaves and Travel Allowance.
