Duties and Accountabilities
Business:
 Essential: Knowledge of Capital Markets
Technical:
 Knowledge of SQL, Websphere and Oracle
 Strong understanding of ITIL Incident Management, Problem Management and
Change Management
 Monitoring of batch jobs and when a failure occurs, logging either an event or an
incident using the TD Standard incident management tool (USD)
 Using a run book to handle the batch failure
o Resolve the batch failure
o If the failure requires support from TD ITS, escalate the incident in a timely
manner
o If not able to be resolved, escalate the failure to the correct L2 support team
 Manage the Incident through to completion
 Perform start of day checks (SOD) for London and ensure a smooth transition to the
L1 Support team in London
 Perform start of week checks (SOW) for London and ensure a smooth transition to the
L1 Support team in London
 Perform end of day checks (EOD) for Toronto and New York (SGP Tues-Fri, TOR
Mon-Thu)
 For recurring Incidents support root cause analysis and support the initial analysis to
support effective Problem Management
 Ensure all changes to the Production Environment follow the TD Securities Change
management process
