We at ABC Consultants are hiring for Solaris Administration position for a product based MNC in Noida. Please refer to the details given below: Solaris Admin Responsibilities: -The intermediate level position will support Solaris based systems in an intensive 7x24 environment. -Familiarity with multiple hardware vendors with preference towards HP computing platforms (blade servers, etc.) -Automate routine tasks and processes to improve efficiencies of the underlying systems -Test and document system settings, configurations, etc. -Assist in change management process -Respond and resolve incident and problem tickets -Document and thoroughly understand system configurations and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issues -Participate in service improvement meetings after outages -Response to general inquiries and represent the US-based Ops team in India Required skills: -Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes. -Ability to deploy, use, and enhance systems management and monitoring tools. -Ability to program in an administrative language such as a shell, Perl, or Python. -Solid understanding of operating system fundamentals, performance analysis and tuning. -Solid understanding of networks, routing principles, and distributed computing concepts. -Honed analytical abilities, accompanied by a strong sense of ownership and urgency. -Fluent written communication and verbal agility are valuable assets. Required background: -At least five years" experience with Unix/Solaris systems administration. -Experience working in a mission-critical production service environment.
