Job Description:

Job Summary: Accenture has signed a 5 year deal to transform a legacy client network and provide ongoing Infrastructure support for the Global Data and Voice Network servicing 8500 Locations Worldwide. The Network Capacity Assessment Analyst role will be part of the Service Control Team and be responsible for assessing demand and impact of new/proposed implementations.
This is a customer facing role requiring good communications and questioning skills. The role will ensure that project driven demand is identified and tracked providing fully documented analysis and recommendations as necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work with customers to translate the business requirements network capacity requirements.
* Ensure that project scope and requirements are fully understood to ascertain impact.
* Carry out appropriate analysis depending on the scope
* Make recommendations on the network design and use of systems to optimally use network resources.
* Ensure recommendations are fully justified with options being provided where appropriate
* Use captured application data flows (i.e. Sniffer/Wireshark) to create an "application profile".
* Size the proposed systems and changes to existing systems to determine the network resources required, utilization, performance levels, and cost implications.
* Ensure that Capacity Manager is aware of any significant projects.
* Maintain key assessment and analysis documents and documentation store in an orderly manner
* Determine network capacity changes required to provide timely availability of adequate capacity.
* Ensure that forecast requirements are recorded and tracked.
* Carry out post implementation review to measure the actual impact against predicted.
* Assess the new technologies to determine methods, thresholds and reporting requirements.
* Participate in solutions design, and identify the right-size components for new business requirements and development.
* Use the standard tools and manipulate data to determine network impact.
* Carry out ad-hoc network capacity utilisation reporting.
* Escalate any network capacity risks identified.
Where this is the lead role, additional duties include:
* Manage work allocation of Capacity Assessment requests the system provided.
* Ensure that projects are resourced appropriately.
* Maintain Capacity Assessment processes and support process audits..
* Resolve prioritisation issues between projects.
* Resolve project Capacity Assessment escalations.
* Organise & run regular Project Workstack reviews with the Operations team.
* Ensure all assessments published by the team are to the required standard.
* Provide Capacity Manager with an overview of requirements, the selected approach to analysis regular progress updates for all projects.
* Drive continuous improvement of the Capacity Assessment function.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
* 5-10 years of IT Networking experience (depending on level)
* Exposure to a Capacity Management and Demand Management function.
* In-depth knowledge of Network Capacity Management tools and methodologies.
* Good communication skills, both verbal & written are a necessity.
* Ability to maintain and enhance professional relationship with customers.
* Ability to question, clarify and document information clearly.
* Strong data manipulation skills using tools such as excel.
* Capable of asking probing questions and handle being be challenged.
* Ability to construct & deliver clearly understood proposals & recommendations
* Strong drive to provide excellent client service and customer satisfaction.
* Demonstrated understanding of networked applications.
* Strong problem solving skills
* Organizational awareness


Qualifications:

* CCNA
* ITIL Foundation Certificate



Education:

* A minimum of Bachelor's Degree or higher although relevant experience will be taken into consideration
