Location : Singapore Client : Sudexo Global Global Network Engineer Job description SCOPE SODEXO is a leading company in Onsite Services and Motivation Solutions present in 80 countries. Global IS&T is the Corporate Division in charge for managing the IT solutions, within the Sodexo organization. The Global Technology Services (GTS) Telecoms Team (GTT) is responsible for designing, managing and operating the Sodexo international network. . In this scope, the GTS telecom team is looking forward to improving its operations by hiring a full time Global (Level 2) Network Engineer. The role of this position is to work daily to improve, extend and support Global and Regional Network Service Operations. TECHNICAL SKILLS The candidate should have excellent technical skills and be up to date in the following areas Telecom & Network competencies o WAN & LAN Technologies: Solid theoretical and practical knowledge with strong trouble-shooting skills, including and DHCP services o IP addressing scheme optimization: provisioning, optimization. Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols. o MPLS & VPLS networks o Network & DNS architecture o Network administration, monitoring and optimization o Firewall & remote access technologies Additional skills that will be most appreciated: o Active Directory Technologies o VoIP/ToIP, PBX and videoconferencing o Unified Communications OPERATIONS SKILLS Work to support the operational model for international networks. Sodexo uses 3 main network providers to connect local, regional and global locations with one another, with third party service providers and with Global Data Centers. Contribute to the improvement of the operational processes that will result in better network reliability and performance, but also cost optimization. Participate in IS&T Operational processes (Daily Ops, Change Control, Incident management, request for service, etc). Familiar and rigorous with Service Desk solutions. Assure control of change and the continuous improvement and deployment of the Sodexo network. Take part in "on call" schedules and the network incident escalation plan. Work with internal clients in order to assure that the International Sodexo Network (ISONET) responds to the operational requirements. Monitor capacity, performance and availability using popular network tools and act to correct anomalies when needed. Report regularly concerning key counters and measures of the ISONET. Weekly international status meetings are to be prepared and held. They will be followed by formal minutes. The end result will be operational excellence. Maintain, Communicate and Explain the Sodexo Global Network Standards and help to make them evolve when needed. PERSONAL MANAGEMENT SKILLS The candidate should be highly motivated, a self-starter and self-reliant. They shall be able to work independently but also as part of a virtual (Global+Regional) team. The GTS team is Global and distributed (Paris, Singapore, Buffalo). Requires minimum supervision and by virtue of his/her proven record of making informed decisions in an environment which may be ambiguous. LINGUISTIC SKILLS Good English language skills are required (Reading, Writing, Speaking). One or more Asia-Pacific languages are also required. EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE College or University engineering degree or equivalent experience in telecoms is mandatory. 2 years of experience as Network Engineer. ITIL V3 Training – ITIL foundation certification preferred. WORKPLACE This position will be based in Singapore in the Sodexo Offices. However, the mission will require some travel (up to 10% of the annual working time) regularly to Sodexo sites in the Asia Pacific countries and exceptionally (once a year max) to Corporate Headquarters in Paris, France. There will be an initial training period at Corporate Headquarters.
