Job Title: Service Delivery LEAD Engineer



Role Description:

Manages, delivers and deploys aspects of network architecture, design, engineering and detail network specifications in order to migrate client from current network environment to the new environment. May include vendor management, client relations, resource planning and management, project management and quality assurance, new equipment installation and configuration and client training.

This position will directly interface with business customers, those who are planning to purchase or have purchased an AT&T Managed Service. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for the integration of cross service installations, working as an individual or as part of a team deploying changes to existing customer networks. Main responsibilities will include the ability to produce technical documentation, along with liaising with third parties and internal groups to schedule and support deployments and changes within agreed time scales arranged with the customer. The individual is responsible for technical validation of the solution, updates to AT&T internal databases, planning and preparation of migration plans for cut-over to the AT&T service. They will have an in-depth knowledge of logical router configurations and both LAN and WAN routing topologies as well as a business understanding of the Managed Service offers.

Duties and Responsibilities

A Service Delivery Lead Engineer is responsible for:

The individual will have full responsibility of projects from a technical perspective.

Ensuring we meet our customer's expectations whilst meeting our internal SLA's and working to AT&T standards The individual will create, develop, validate, document, and communicate all functional elements required to achieve world-class designs and technical standards.

Validation and approval of all CR's, ADD's PMAC'S into Service delivery Production of CDS (complete data set) for MACD's and new deals Tiered support for LMAC?s

Tiered support for GT3

Making changes to in-production/live customer networks as well as deploy new solutions Communication with SDM's and Production Engineers to support the overall success of the project

Skills and Experience:

High level of expertise in Cisco router configuration especially routing skills (including BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP) Skilled in MPLS and Class of Service

Skilled in Frame, ATM, Private line, Ethernet, POS, ZMA and all forms of WAN technologies in addition to resiliency design, including ISDN

Network design

Managed LAN, Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching VOIP and IP Telephony

SNA/DLSW IPSec

IP Subnetting and IPv6

Security: NAT Configuration, Proxy Server, and Firewalls Data Communications, fractional T1, E1 and Fractional E1

Hardware: Routers, Switches, CSU/DSU, bridges, IMA equipment, Load Balancers, WAN Acceleration devices ( ATA and WAAS ) multiplexers, servers and Enhanced Reporting probes

Years of Experience:

8+ years

Education:

University education or Cisco qualifications CCNP or higher

Language skills:

Excellent English language and written skills

Other skills:

AT&T AVTS, ANIRA, GMIS, MIS, MRS, PNT, MLAN, EVPN, AVPN, Application Performance Management service knowledge

AT&T Tools: GPS, GCSM, EFMS, ICORE, GIOM, IPSA and USRP Microsoft Office Products: Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook

Ability to work under pressure, to deadlines in a fast pace changing environment Proficiency with software applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio Customer handling skills

Working hours:

This position is based on regular AT&T standard hours. However, LE's are expected to support customer migrations and changes in the evenings and at weekends as requested by the customer.
