Hello ,

We are looking for UNIX System Engineer/Administrator at 10 Eunos Road,Singapore . ** This is a junior to mid level position **

System administrator should have around 6 years of relevant experience supporting Solaris/AIX/Linux systems in a large enterprise (600+ UNIX servers)
- Possess sound knowledge on Solaris OS (Sparc, Entreprise) and/or AIX 5L (P5/P6/HMC). Knowing Linux would be advantageous.
-Perform changes on Solaris (8, 9, 10), AIX (5.3), and Red Hat Linux servers and third party applications leveraging Visa change management processes and tools.
-Perform changes on Veritas Storage Foundation (vxvm/vxfs) and Veritas Cluster Server in AIX/Solaris/Linux environment.
-Thoroughly understand the application architecture, system configurations, and interfaces with various systems and use this knowledge effectively to resolve issues
-Work closely with customer support team to communicate the root cause of the outage, duration and recommendations or steps to resolve issues.
-Assist DBAs, Storage Managers, Middleware Administrators, and Application Support staff to resolve incidents and problems in their respective areas.
-Provide assistance as required in analyzing the trends and suggesting long-term and short-term improvements
-Resolve incidents and problems and implement changes and enhancements in a way that meets operational level agreements and metric goals
-Experience leveraging automation tools such as Opsware, HP Operations Orchestrator, Jumpstart, NIM, ITCM/Tivoli. Knowledge in Symantec CCS/CSP, Prognosis would be desirable.
-Act as vendor contact for routine, documented incidents as well as operational problems
-2+ years experience scripting in Perl or unix native shells (ksh,sh,bash).
-Able to analyze quickly and determine resolution and/or work-around to bring service back up
-Be a good Team player.

*AIX, Solaris, Linux, and ITIL certifications preferred.
