Dear Saminath, I'm currently recruiting for 4 Oracle developers for an Investment Bank on inital six month contracts. This is a 36 month project, so great opportunity to renew. Could the below spec be of interest? Based in Singapore, this Oracle Developer will provide database expertise and leadership to support the Global Asset Servicing IT Team during the ongoing development of corporate action processing in the in-house 'ASTRID' system designed to provide STP for Asset Servicing (Dividends, Corporate Actions and Coupons). This will include exposure to all elements of the SDLC, with close liaison with development teams in London, Singapore and Poland, business analysts in London and Singapore and business stakeholders / users / change managers globally. Main Duties Highly skilled and proven team member will work closely with business analysts, developers, external teams and work stream owners, leveraging technical analysis, development and testing skills within a self-directed and self-organizing team to deliver high quality, robust technical solutions in a controlled, transparent and actively risk managed fashion. · The development and enhancement of the corporate action processing system using Oracle 10g / 11i PL/SQL. · The development of the supporting Oracle database and UNIX code. · The production of detailed technical analysis, robust design and development · The production of technical specifications derived from functional specifications produced by the business analysis team. · The live support of the corporate action processing system, including investigative work, and user liaison – where required. · Definition and adherence to programming standards · Unit and integration testing of developed code · Code Reviews · Must be able to participate in a culture of "knowledge sharing" within the development team globally · Maintenance of application documentation Key responsibilities: Analytical: · Work closely with business analysts and the other members of the Development team to ensure technical requirements are fully defined and documented · Delivery of first class Oracle packages/procedures · Transparent and appropriately detailed communication · Active risk management and escalation Testing: · Preparation and execution of robust Unit test scripts based on functional specifications · Assist in System and User Acceptance Test support General: · Live Support for user queries when needed · Post-live support for major enhancements Person Requirements Essential: · Very strong and proven track record in Oracle 10g / 11i PL/SQL design and development and implementation. · Expertise in database performance tuning • Strong knowledge of UNIX and Autosys scheduling management • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong time management and ability to coordinate with co-located teams to action items • Strong internal relationship management skills – the team works across many areas of the organisation, the ability to relate to people and work in ad-hoc teams is critical. • Self starting team player, able to demonstrate initiative · Ability to adopt a fact based approach to issue resolution Desirable: · Strong working knowledge of C# • Exposure to Perforce (or other Source Control) tools · Background within Asset Servicing Operations · Experience within an Investment Bank and an understanding of Prime Brokerage and Capital Markets banking products Interpersonal/Team skills: • Team player who can balance individual objectives with those of the team • Strong communicator who will use both verbal and written communication with team members, other members of IT and business stakeholders. • Able to review work undertaken or being planned by others, highlight issues and recommend solution • Must be self-motivated, setting a high level of professionalism and excellence Thanks, Robin Prince rprince@aurec.com |
