Responsibilities:
Key Finance support to the VP and directors of Consumer Operations (encompassing Customer Care services and BSDA units (Broadband and IPTV service delivery and assurance). Review and monitor monthly financial performance vs. budget, including rolling forecast of financial performance of the Consumer Operations.
  • Finance
    • Reporting (Internal & External)
      • Responsible for monthly accruals of costs and expenses for the Customer Care operations, spanning three locations namely Singapore, Malacca and Kuala Lumpur (for outsourced services)
      • Prepare monthly reporting pack with insightful commentary reflecting current state of business and impact on the previous forecast.  The reporting pack covers the performance of the Customer Care BU and the measurement of key business or cost drivers against budget and forecast
    • Reporting at both pre-elimination and post-elimination views
    • Prepare monthly P&L for the Call Centres
    • Half-yearly accounting separation allocation for regulatory purpose
    • Work with internal & external auditors to address any accounting & control issues and follow-up to ensure that adequate corrective actions are undertaken
    • Other adhoc duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
  • Budgeting & Forecasting
    • Prepare quarterly cost and expense forecast for the full year
    • Responsible for the annual budgeting cycle, including driving internal stakeholders to meet tight deadline, provide budgeting guidance & necessary templates to the BU, and facilitate discussion with key stakeholders to achieve outcome set by the company.  Prepare presentation as part of budget submission
  • Product Costing & Productivity Metrics
    • Responsible for Product Costing of the various services within the Consumer Operations, i.e. Help Desks, General Enquiries, Call Centres, Fibre Installation, Maintenance, etc
    • Work closely with the Line management to track productivity metrics and develop new metrics to help the Operations focus on efficiency and process improvements
  • Business Support
    • Assist Line management to prepare business cases, financial evaluations, and cost improvement projects
    • Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and make improvements to the processes/systems
    • Work closely with the business units and provide day to day advisory support
  • Staff Management
    • 1 direct report
    • Responsible for staff performance management & training
  • Ad hoc and special projects as required by management
Requirements:
  • Degree in Accounting with 5-years of working experience
  • Experience in direct staff management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent Excel and Powerpoint skills
  • Demonstrated resilience and ability to thrive in fast paced environment
  • Good team player
  • Knowledge of SAP preferred
