Role :Network Security Engineer

Location-Chennai
Network Security Engineer -Level Three L3
• Must have 5+ years experience with Cisco PIX/ASA firewalls

• Must have experience modifying firewall rule sets, studying network traffic flows to reverse-engineer the required firewall rules to lock down an application, and troubleshooting firewall problems in an enterprise or service provider environment under short time constraints involving complex network application flows between multiple hosts spanning multiple firewalls and different geographic locations.

• Must have hands-on technical experience installing, configuring, documenting, and providing ongoing support for Cisco PIX and/or ASA 5500-series /Checkpoint firewalls, and Cisco routers at multiple customer sites.

• Experience in implementing Information Security technologies and/or processes required.

• Experience in product evaluation and managing vendor relationships required.


• Experience in defining Information Security strategy and integrating security technologies into corporate frameworks.


Primary Skill Set:

• Cisco firewalls (ASA 5500 series, PIX, FWSM).

• Must have networking experience and must have experience managing wireless networks
€¢ Should have good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Should have hands on knowledge in IPSEC/SSL Vpn
€¢ Should have hands on knowledge in NIPS ( Proventia, Cisco IPS, Tipping point, Mcafee)
• Should have good knowledge in Proxies and email security.
€¢ Should have good knowledge in Endpoint Security ( NAC, HIPS, PFW, )
• Should be comfortable working in 24*7 environments.
• Should be CCNA/ CCNA (Security) certified.
• CCSP / CCSA / CCSE / JNCIA /JNCIS certifications are preferred.
